Weather Alert Day: snow and freezing temps – 10/10/18

TODAY: Light snow, areas of dense fog and freezing temperatures are ongoing around Southern Colorado this morning. Light accumulations to 1″ are possible on grassy areas and your cars this morning, so leave yourself some extra time to wipe that windshield! Most roads should be wet this morning, but a couple of slick spots are possible on overpasses and bridges. Highs today will only be in the 30s and low 40s. A few snow showers will redevelop later this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Showers wrap up tonight and we are left with mostly cloudy dry skies. Lows will be in the 20s and 30s.

EXTENDED: Skies dry out some over the next couple of days. We will see chances for a couple of rain and snow showers tomorrow, but drier than the last couple of days. Dry, warmer weather is expected through Saturday. Right now, models are pointing toward the potential for snow again this weekend. We will keep you posted in the days to come.
