Colorado Springs man linked to 127 burglaries charged for child porn

Colorado Springs police say a man who was already in custody for an alleged burglary spree is now facing a felony charge for sexual exploitation of a child after investigators found child porn on one of his devices.

Devin Scott, 26, was arrested back in August for his alleged role in 127 burglaries in the city since March.

Wednesday, CSPD said Scott was charged with sexual exploitation of a child. Investigators said they found “sexually explicit images of minor children” on a device that belonged to Scott. He was still in jail for the burglary charges.

It’s not known if the victims in the images were known to Scott or if he downloaded the images from the internet.

The string of burglaries had been investigated by police after detectives identified a pattern in May. One other person, 24-year-old Rayvaughn Milne, was arrested in late May, and three other suspects were identified.

Scott was arrested after being caught breaking into a Buffalo Wild Wings on N. Academy to get inside. Scott tried to break into the safe but was unsuccessful, according to CSPD. He was caught while returning to his vehicle in a nearby neighborhood.
