Freezing Temps Tonight 10-9-18

TONIGHT: Lingering light snow showers will continue will continue to spill off the Eastern Mountains this evening and overnight. Most areas will dry out with showers ending. Light freezing drizzle or freezing fog will still be possible. A Freeze Warning is in effect for all of Southern Colorado into early tomorrow. Lows fall to the upper 20s and low 30s.

TOMORROW: Additional light snow showers will be possible over the Palmer Divide, Teller County and the Eastern Mountains early tomorrow. Any accumulations should stay very light and mainly confined to grassy areas or cold surfaces. A few lingering rain and snow showers could spill over the I-25 corridor for the afternoon but most of the plains stay dry. It will be another chilly day with highs in the 30s and 40s. Breaks in the clouds near the New Mexico border could bring some of our far southern locations into the 50s for the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Some light showers, drizzle and fog will then likely redevelop late Wednesday into Thursday. A few additional showers and storms could ignite Thursday, but coverage looks pretty light. Temps will be slightly warmer, in the 40s and 50s. Light showers will again be possible Friday with highs in the 50s to near 60. Saturday looks pretty nice before a strong system arrives overnight bringing cold and some snowy conditions to the area Sunday.
