Deputies investigating suspicious death near Falcon

A woman was found dead inside a house in Peyton Tuesday morning, and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating due to suspicious circumstances.

The woman hasn’t been identified, but the sheriff’s office says she was found dead at 7:14 a.m. in the 10400 block of Mount Wilson Place. (MAP) It’s not clear how she died.

Detectives are still investigating but consider the case a “suspicious death,” according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Authorities say they don’t believe there’s any active threat to the community, but no other details were released.
