Fort Carson controlled burns underway

If you see smoke coming from Fort Carson today, you don’t need to worry.

The mountain post has started a series of prescribed burns in the training area. These will last until the end of 2018.

The post tells us the purpose of the burns is to reduce heavy vegetation that could potentially lead to and fuel fires.
