Suspect on the run after Colorado Springs robberies

Colorado Springs police are looking for the suspect wanted in a pair of armed robberies.

Both robberies happened within minutes of each other early Thursday morning.

Officers say the first robbery happened in the 3800 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue at 4:52 a.m. The suspect walked in, pulled out a handgun, and demanded cash before running away.

The second robbery happened about 14 minutes later in the 400 block of North Murray Avenue. That’s just a mile northeast of the first scene. Like in the first robbery, the suspect walked in, pulled out a handgun, and demanded cash before running away.

Police have not said how much the robber made off with in either robbery.

In both cases the suspect was described as a black male, early 20s, wearing white pants, a dark hoodie, and a dark bandanna covering his face.
