Let’s talk about where you’re going for ‘National Taco Day’
Like every day of the week, today is no different. It marks another national holiday. October 4, 2018, has been deemed “National Taco Day”.
In honor of the holiday, tons of both national and regional taco places around Colorado Springs are having deals on their tacos.
According to the holiday’s website, NationalTacoDay.com, last year Americans ate over 4.5 billion tacos. That’s equivalent to 775-million pounds, or the weight of two Empire State Buildings.
To save all you taco lovers’ some time while looking all those places up this busy Thursday, we’re laying out some of the best places to get either free or discounted tacos.
National deals:
1.) Moe’s Southwest Grill: Buy two tacos, get one free between October 4-7.
2.) Del Taco: Buy two shredded beef soft tacos, get one free on October 4. The coupon can be downloaded from at the restaurant’s website.
3.) Taco Bueno: The chain is offering its limited-time-only Texas Street Tacos this month. On October 4 only, if you make any purchase, you’ll get a free one of those. After Thursday, the Texas Street Taco will cost $5.
4.) Taco Bell: Like previously on National Taco Day, Taco Bell is offering its $5 Taco Day Gift Set on October 4th. For just five dollars, you get a box of four tacos. These include a crunchy taco, a Fiery Doritos Locos Taco, a Cool Ranch Loco Taco, and a Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco.
5.) On the Border: The restaurant is giving away bottomless tacos. For $8.99, you can get unlimited ground beef or chicken tinga tacos throughout the day on October 4. Make sure you save room though, the deal also comes with bottomless chips and salsa.
6.) El Fenix: The taco chain is offering $1 beef or chicken tacos all day long October 4th. There is a cap though, El Fenix says there’s a limit of three per customer.
7.) Fuzzy’s Taco Shop: Fuzzy’s is also offering $1 tacos all day Thursday. The discount applies to breakfast and baja-style tacos from open until close.
8.) Taco John’s: Taco John’s is giving away one crispy beef taco any day this week, running til Friday. All you have to do to get the deal is download the Taco John’s Rewards app.
9.) Rubio’s: You can get one free original fish taco with the purchase of any beverage Thursday, all you need to do is download this coupon.
Regional deals:
1.) Pig Latin Cocina: The restaurant featured on Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins and Drives, offers $2 island tacos and Tecates on both Tuesday and Thursday — hey, that’s today!
2.) Salute Bar and Grill: The bar and grill is letting you fill your plate with all the tacos you can eat with their buffet and you can wash it all down with $3 Coronas when you’re through.
3.) T-Byrds Tacos & Tequila: The taco joint has customizable margaritas and street style tacos. Thursday you can get $1 off all tacos and $5 margaritas and swirls.
4.) Jose Muldoons : Enjoy tacos throughout the day for just $1.25 a piece.
