Amazon hiring for warehouse jobs in Colorado Springs

Retail giant Amazon recently posted hundreds of new jobs in Colorado Springs.

Earlier this week, the Pikes Peak Workforce Center held a hiring event for Amazon. The company is looking to hire more than 200 positions for a warehouse operation.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center said Amazon is hiring for a project to be out near the Colorado Springs Airport.

We found a plot being cleared near the airport. Construction is underway on the giant dirt plot east of the cell phone lot at the airport.Colorado Springs Airport officials said they have a nondisclosure with the project’s tenant, but did say it’s a “big announcement” that will come out in time.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center said the more than 200 positions Amazon was hiring for have been filled, but more could be posted on Amazon’s website Friday night.

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center also warned those who are interested in applying to Amazon, to follow a link directly to the company’s site, as scammers are taking personal information with false job postings.
