Secure perimeter placed around Woodland Park School District

Update: The Secure Perimeter was lifted around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday for Woodland Park schools.

Due to a threat in the Woodland Park community, the Woodland Park School District is on a Secure Perimeter as a precautionary measure. There is no direct threat to the schools.

The Woodland Park Police Department Commander Jim Halloran, said there is s threat to the business on the other side of town from the schools. The police department said it could be kids of the business owner that caused the schools to act.

The police department did not know what the threat was or how the threat was made, just that the business called the cops.
