CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Bears rescued from dumpster outside Reno firehouse

It’s a rescue so cute, you won’t be able to ‘bear’ it: a fire crew in Reno, Nevada set a group of baby bears free that were trapped inside a trash can Wednesday morning.

The crew says they were awakened by the bears after hearing a loud ‘crashing’ noise right behind the firehouse. That’s when one of the firemen realized the cubs were inside the dumpster and came to the rescue.

You can watch as he decides to open the lid to the can, letting the little guys free. The rescue seemed harmless and danger-free, but that wasn’t exactly the case. The crew says the mother bear was only about 40-feet away, watching from the woods, during the rescue.
