Florida grandma pops out dentures to scare off naked man on back porch
A Florida grandmother is responsible for scaring off a man who was walking around in the nude and trespassing.
According to WFTV in Florida, the grandmother allegedly opened her blinds early Friday expecting to see her cat on her back porch, but instead, was greeted by the six-foot-tall naked man.
Police say 28-year-old Axel Rivera broke into Pennelope Pettersen’s, 73, back porch around 2:20 a.m., and begun talking to her in a disgruntled manner.
“I always look first. I opened the blinds and said, ‘What the h***? That’s not my cat,'” Pettersen told WFTV.
Pettersen, who previously worked in security and law enforcement, says she is no stranger to standing up to bad guys and intruders. She said she decided to pop out her dentures and shout, “Grandma no teeth!” in order to scare Rivera.
Her plan apparently worked, because WTFV reports that Rivera ran away, leaving his clothes behind. He was arrested nearby, while still in the nude.
Authorities say prosecutors believe alcohol could have been a factor in Rivera’s behavior. He’s currently being held at the Brevard County jail on a $20,000 bail, according to WFTV.
