Warmer this afternoon – 9/26/18

TODAY: Sun and clouds will be seen to start the day, making way for mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies later this afternoon. We will be slightly warmer today, with afternoon highs in the 60s and 70s over the southern half of the state. A couple of afternoon storms are possible, mainly south of Highway 50, but most places end up dry.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies with overnight lows in the 40s. Upper 30s will be felt over the mountains.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks really nice! Skies will be mostly sunny through tomorrow with even warmer temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Friday brings easterly winds for much of the area, which will help to promote low cloud development over the plains and the front range. This will keep things cool on Friday, with warmer, sunnier skies over the mountains. The sun returns for everyone on Saturday, with highs topping off in the low to mid 80s. Mountain cities will feel the 70s.
