A windy start, spotty showers this afternoon – 9/25/18

TODAY: A strong cold front will be dropping south from the northern part of the state this morning. This will really kick up the winds in the lower elevations between 6-7AM and your lunch hour. Gusts will likely be in the 30s and 40s for that time frame, so a wind alert level 1 is in place. Highs today will only be in the 50s and 60s behind the front! A stray shower is possible along and south of Highway 50 for the afternoon, but most places stay dry.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly. Overnight lows will be in the 30s and 40s.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow looks mostly dry in Southern Colorado. Skies will be partly cloudy and afternoon temperatures will be just slightly warmer. Nice dry skies move in by Thursday, and we stay that way through the weekend. In fact, highs will be getting back into the 70s and 80s by the last part of the week!
