Changes moving in – 9/24/18

TODAY: We start our morning off with sunshine and a few clouds. The higher terrain will be slightly breezy at times and the central mountains should see some ongoing, spotty shower activity. Temperatures will only be in the 70s today thanks to developing afternoon clouds and that cold front that came through last night. After 12PM, a few showers and storms start to develop over the higher terrain and will spread east through the afternoon. Storms aren’t expected to be severe, but some could definitely produce some gusty winds and lightning.

TONIGHT: Another cold front will be pushing in later this evening. As this passes, things will likely become breezy again. Lows will be dropping to the 30s in the mountains, with 40s and 50s over the lower elevations.

EXTENDED: Highs will be MUCH cooler tomorrow afternoon behind that second cold front. We should only warm into the 50s and 60s over much of the southern half of the state. Shower and storm chances remain through Wednesday before we dry out and warm up Thursday into the weekend. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s again for the second half of the week.
