PHEF announces scholarship using money from marijuana tax in Pueblo County
The Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation (PHEF) announced this week, students in Pueblo County will be eligible to apply for specially funded scholarships starting Friday.
The scholarship called the Pueblo County Cannabis Hope Scholarships for the 2018-2019 year is funded by the Pueblo County Scholarship Fund.
This fund collects 50 percent of the revenue marijuana tax in the county, giving graduating students a chance to receive financial help with college.
To apply for the scholarship, here is a list of deadlines:
— Application database opens on Friday, September 21,2018
— Application database closes on Friday, October 12, 2018
— Review period is the week of October 15th – 19th
— Awarding scholarships the week of October 22nd -26th
