Record warmth today – 9/17/118

TODAY: We will be mostly sunny and mild to start things out today. By this afternoon, record warmth is in the forecast for Pueblo with a high in the mid 90s. Elsewhere 70s and 80s will be felt. The afternoon brings a partly cloudy sky, but rain is not expected.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s for both the lower elevations and mountain cities.

EXTENDED: The extended forecast still looks really warm through the middle of the week before some big changes move in. A cold front will be swinging through on Wednesday which will bring parts of the area very slight chances for showers and thunder. What you will really notice is the cooler air moving in behind that front on Thursday. Highs will be in the 60s and 70s for most spots right into the weekend. Things stay dry, with the exception of Friday. On this day, we could see some thundershowers over the higher terrain area.
