Fallen Deputy Micah Flick honored by his high school alma mater

A special memorial was held Thursday in honor of El Paso County Deputy Micah Flick.

Micah Flick’s alma mater, Colorado Springs Christian Schools honored him and his family at high school’s football game.

Micah Flick played quarterback for the team and in his senior year, led the team to their first playoff game.

The team honored the fallen El Paso County Deputy by gifting his actual number 3 jerseys to his wife, kids and parents as fellow deputies and law enforcement officers stood together.

“I just know Micah would be so honored about this and really excited, I just wish he was here to see it,” Rachael Flick, Micah’s wife said.

“He would be very proud and I think he’ll be looking down from heaven and I think he’s going to enjoy every minute of it,” Chenoa Flick, Micah’s mother said.

Flick was killed in the line of duty February 5, 2018 while the BATTLE task force was attempting to arrest a suspect.
