Near record highs today -9/11/18
TODAY: We’ll be waking up to sunshine in the southern half of the state today. By the afternoon, a few clouds will start to roll in, so we’ll call it partly cloudy. Those clouds won’t be enough to stop the heat. Highs will be into the 80s and 90s in the lower terrain with 70s in the mountains. Highs will be near records this afternoon. A higher terrain sprinkle or stray shower is possible later today, but most places stay dry.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Overnight lows will be in the 50s and 40s.
EXTENDED: Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast right through Sunday afternoon. Highs remain in the 80s and 90s with the possibility of nearing records. The pattern changes on Monday when showers and cooler highs move in.
