Denver airport adds automated security screening lanes

Denver International Airport added two new automated security screening lanes to the north security checkpoint.

DIA and TSA partnered together to bring the new security lanes to Denver.

Passengers place a bin with their items on an automated conveyor belt and then go through the x-ray machine. Bins that may contain prohibited items are automatically diverted, allowing other passengers’ belongings to continue through the screening process uninterrupted.

When DEN’s Great Hall project is complete, the airport expects to have automated screening lanes at all checkpoints.
