CSFD responds to structure fire near Milburn Drive, several pets dead

The Colorado Springs Fire Department confirms crews were dispatched for a structure fire near Milburn Drive around 1:00 p.m. Monday.

According to officials, the fire is near B Street. (MAP) No people were injured in the fire, however, it was reported that several pets died inside the home. Firefighters say a dog, cat, and a hamster were all killed from the fire.

Officials believe the blaze started in the kitchen, but have not released any further information at this time. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
