Customers call for boycott after In-N-Out donates to Republican party

Twitter users and opponents of the GOP have been forgoing their burgers and fries and calling for an In-N-Out boycott after the fast food chain donated thousands of dollars to the California Republican Party.

According to a public filing on the California Secretary of State’s website, the fast food corporation gave $25,000 to the state’s Republican Party on Tuesday.

Time reports it took a day for the donation to go viral after the filing was tweeted out by Washington D.C. based reporter Gabe Schneider.

Many Twitter users are tweeting their concerns and calling for a boycott using the hashtag .
