CSPD release information about suspect accused in shooting near UCCS campus

The Colorado Springs Police Department released more information Thursday about the suspect charged with murder in the August 29th homicide on the UCCS highway near Austin Bluffs Parkway.

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Micahi Stacey Hughes of Colorado Springs. He is facing First Degree Murder charges as police continue investigating the case.

According to a post made to the CSPD Facebook page, this is the 21st homicide investigation this year. The City of Colorado had 21 homicides at this time last year.
