Changes ahead – 8/28/18

TODAY: We will kick the morning off with lots of sunshine and pretty nice temperatures. By the afternoon, highs warm into the 70s and 80s around the southern half of the state. A strong cold front will be pushing west all day, which will start increasing the shower and storm chances following 5PM this evening. Storms will not be widespread and should stay isolated to scattered through tonight. Severe weather is not expected.

TONIGHT: Easterly winds will allow for a lot of clouds to develop around the area. This will make for a mostly cloudy overnight. A few showers and storms are still
possible through the very early morning hours on Wednesday.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks cooler and dry, at least until Thursday. That is when we will begin another big warm up. Moisture chances increase over the mountains on Thursday and Friday, with better rain and storm chances for everyone into Labor Day.
