Warm Weekend Ahead 8-24-18

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies continue overnight. Lows drop to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Another warm day is on tap tomorrow after a nice start. Temperatures will return to the 80s and 90s with 70s in our mountain cities despite increasing afternoon clouds. By noon some showers and storms will develop over the higher terrain. Some locally heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds will be the main hazards. A few of these storm may make it into the lower elevations through the evening hours.

EXTENDED: A few showers and storms will again be possible mainly over the higher terrain on Sunday. Afternoon high temperatures will be similar in the 80s and 90s. The warmth continues into the first part of next week with above normal highs. A cold front arrives Tuesday and that will drop temperatures through the middle of the next. Much of next week looks to remain dry as the monsoon flow will stay to our south.
