Pueblo police arrest man for menacing with a gun, turned out to be BB gun

Pueblo police officers arrested man for menacing with a firearm in the 2400 block of Jones Avenue next to the Pueblo School for the Arts and Sciences Tuesday afternoon.

After a call about a man with a weapon, police arrested 18-year-old Fabian Quintana. He threw the handgun to the ground before complying with officers. Quintana was taken into custody without further incident.

It was later determined that Quintana was carrying a BB gun, which was an exact replica of a full-size firearm.

Quintana was arrested for menacing and booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center. He was also arrested on August 9 for reportedly hitting a family member with a vehicle while stealing.
