Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Now Severe Storms Today! – 8/19/18

Today: Partly cloudy and breezy at times as some drier air works over the area. We cannot rule out spotty showers and/or thunderstorms over and near the mountains today, but they will be few and far between and much weaker than the storms we had yesterday. We’ll be cool for this time of year with afternoon temperatures reaching the 70s and 80s for the plains, 60s and 70s for our local mountain areas.

Tonight: Any showers that may have developed will end quickly, and the wind will decrease. All areas should expect a mostly clear and crisp night with low temperatures in the 40s for the higher terrain along and west of I-25, 50s for the eastern plains.

Extended: Monday looks to remain dry and pretty cool for this time of year. The air should begin warming again starting Tuesday, and eventually we expect scattered thunderstorms to return to more areas.
