4 arrested for string of robberies in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs police arrested four people in connection with a string of robberies that targeted convenience stores and individuals starting in early August.

Springs police say they first started investigating on Aug. 5, when a convenience store in the 300 block of E. Platte Ave. was robbed.

Police identified the suspects and said seven more robberies and a theft were committed by the same group.

Two of the suspects were arrested Saturday, and four firearms were also seized. Police picked up the remaining two on Tuesday. They were identified as Tony Jarell Brown, 26, Andrew Thomas-Nuell, 21, Preston Willis, 22, and a 17-year-old juvenile male. No mugshots have been released at this time.

The group is accused of thefts at the following places and times:

8/05/18 Personal Robbery 328 E Platte Ave. 8/06/18 Circle K 4315 N Academy Blvd. 8/06/18 Personal Robbery 1630 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. 8/06/18 Loaf n Jug (Theft) 5374 Airport Rd. 8/08/18 Diamond Shamrock 715 Cheyenne Meadows Rd. 8/08/18 Circle K 1255 Air Academy Lp. 8/08/18 Seven Eleven 2350 Hancock Expy. 8/10/18 Loaf n Jug 3705 Drennan Rd. 8/10/18 Loaf n Jug 2505 S. Chelton Rd.
