Colorado Spring police investigate deadly crash in Rockrimmon Neighborhood

Colorado Springs police are investigating a deadly crash on the Northwest side of the city.

Officers say the wreck happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Vindicator Drive and Owl Ridge Drive. That’s right in front of Eagleview Middle School.

Police say they first saw a truck speeding near the accident scene

An officer later found the driver after he crashed into a fence. He died by the time police arrived.

The Major Accident Unit is leading the investigation.

No other details are available this morning.
