Former American Idol contestant and viral sensation stops by the KRDO Newschannel 13 Studio

When American Idol premiered for the first time on ABC this past year, Trevor Holmes caught attention online when there were flirtations between him and Katy Perry.

Perry later eliminated the country singer during a final showcase round. Holmes told TMZ he has no hard feelings and he doesn’t have a single bad thing to say about Katy or American Idol.

Holmes was in town promoting the upcoming season of American Idol on ABC. When asked his advice for future contestants he says to be yourself.

“I think people go in there and try to be something their not and the judges can see right through that, America see through that. I think with anything in life you should be authentically you,” said Holmes.
