El Pomar donates another $250,000 to Colorado hail victims

People throughout Southern Colorado are still dealing with hail damage from this week’s storm.

Thursday, El Pomar Foundation donated 250-thousand dollars to those people and Friday they donated another 250-thousand, bringing the total up to half a million dollars in order to help hail victims.

But by about 12:30 p.m., El Paso County announced that no more applications would be accepted as funds had been exhausted.

A line gathered outside of the El Paso County Citizens Service Center early Friday morning, as people waited to get a check for their damage.

El Pomar donated to help 400 people Thursday and are expecting to help the same amount Friday. Funds are expected to last until 3 P.M.
