Weather Alert Day – 8/6/18

TODAY: We start our new week off with quiet skies and some sunshine, but by the afternoon, storms and clouds will start to develop and move in. By 1PM we should see things developing over and near the mountains. Those move east through the afternoon and evening hours. Large hail, damaging winds and flash flooding over burn scars will be the biggest threats. The tornado threat is very low but can’t be dismissed completely. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s today.

TONIGHT: Storms will come to an end and we will be left with partly to mostly clear skies. Lows will be in the 40s, 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow brings chances for more strong storms and cool highs in the 70s and 80s. Moisture chances will still be present through the mid-week, but become significantly less by Thursday. Friday brings the return of dry weather with warmer highs back in the 80s to near 90.
