Missing teen from Cripple Creek found in Texas border town

The 15-year-old girl reported missing from Cripple Creek last week was found Friday in Texas, just miles from the Mexico border.

According to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, police in Laredo, Texas, located Angel Lucero and are now conducting a sexual assault investigation. It’s not known if a suspect is in custody.

Little information has been given, and we don’t know how Lucero ended up in Laredo. It’s not clear if she’s back in Colorado at this time.

The Teller County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help find a missing 15-year-old girl who is considered to be endangered.

Authorities say Angel Lucero is a “low-functioning adolescent” and was last seen at the Teller County Fairgrounds near Cripple Creek on Wednesday around 5:30 p.m.

Lucero is a white female, brown eyes, approximately 5’4″ and 120 pounds. She has long bleached-blonde hair with dark roots. Lucero was last seen wearing a white top with a drawstring front and pink and blue spandex pants.
