TODAY: Temps briefly drop to the 80s Thursday on the back end of a mostly dry cold front. Similar to Wednesday, our only chance for a shower or two is south of HWY 50. Critical fire weather continues across our Central Mountains due to gusty winds (up to 45 MPH) and low humidity.

EXTENDED: Severe storm chances return Friday afternoon and evening, with the highest chance for damaging hail and damaging wind across the Plains. We warm back up to the 90s in many lower lying areas.

EXTENDED: Hot temps and a few PM storms stick around through Father's Day weekend. Fire danger will likely become more widespread again Saturday due to gustier winds. Showers and storms become more widespread Monday on the back end of a cold front that will drop temperatures a few degrees back to the 80s in many lower lying areas.
