Stormy Friday ahead – 8/3/18

TODAY: Scattered showers and storms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening. Storms will begin to form over the high country, then spread south and east across the southern half of the state. A few of these storms could become strong, especially over the eastern plains. The main threats from any stronger storms will be frequent lightning, gusty winds, and small hail. Temps will be a little warmer than yesterday, with 80s and 90s across the state.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms clear out overnight, leaving mostly clear skies. Temps will be in the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Rain chances decrease through Saturday and Sunday and then return again by the start of next week. Highs over the weekend will continue to warm, with the highest temps occuring on Monday.
