Scattered Storms Return Friday 8-2-18

TONIGHT: Storms wind down and we are left with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Lows stay a little warmer thanks to the clouds and should only cool to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Scattered thunderstorms return to Southern Colorado with rain beginning over the higher terrain by early afternoon. Storms have a better chance of heading eastward through the Southeastern Plains through the evening hours. One or two storms could become severe for wind and hail. There is also the threat of heavy rain with flash flooding possible over burn scars. Because storm and cloud coverage will he higher tomorrow, highs will be a little bit cooler than this afternoon.

EXTENDED: Moisture chances decrease through Saturday and Sunday with only isolated thunderstorms possible each afternoon and mainly over the higher terrain. Storms increase heading into Monday and Tuesday. Highs over the weekend will top off in the 80s and 90s and will be staying warm into the first part of next week.
