Colorado celebrates Colorado Day with free state park admission on August 6

Celebrate Colorado’s 149 birthday by getting free admission into state parks on Monday, August 6!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will celebrate Colorado Day by offering free entrance at all 42 state parks. Free entrance at state parks is an annual Colorado Day tradition.

Park entrance fees are waived, but activites like fishing and camping will still require a valid license and permit.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is also offering free park entrance to active-duty military personnel and veterans in August. You must provide proof of service. You must go to the Cherry Creek park office to obtain the pass. Office hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.
