Caught on Camera: Man takes off with black truck in broad daylight

Surveillance video from a local auto repair shop in Colorado Springs shows a man stealing a black 2005 Chevy Silverado truck.

The truck belongs to a man named Dustin White, who lives in Falcon.

White’s father, Chris was picking up the truck from the “Car Worx Warehouse” on the southeast side of Colorado Springs Friday.

“I parked in front of the automotive office and ran inside to grab some paperwork,” he said.

White accidentally left the keys in the car and within 30 seconds a thief jumped in and darted off in the truck.

“The time was really unbelievable, it was just so fast,” White said.

Unfortunately, the thief got away with their family hard drive that has all their personal and financial information on it, opening up the possibility for identity theft.
