Ritz products recalled due to potential presence of salmonella

A voluntary recall has been issued for certain Ritz Cracker sandwiches and Ritz Bitz products due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

Ritz manufacturer, Mondelēz Global, says the snacks contain a whey powder – which the whey powder supplier has recalled due to the potential presence of Salmonella.

KMGH reports, Mondelēz Global issued the nationwide recall on Saturday as a precaution.

So far, the company said there have been no complaints of illness reported to the company in connection with these products.

People who have these products should not eat them — and should discard any products they may have.
