Teens arrested for stealing vehicle in Pueblo

Pueblo police arrested 19-year-old Aaliya Lay and 19-year-old Toby Kittinger Thursday morning. The two were caught sleeping in a stolen vehicle in the 1800 block of E. 14th Street.

Upon awakening the Lay and Kittinger, Kittinger placed the vehicle in drive and sped off. The vehicle ran over tire deflation devices in the process and officers did not engage in a pursuit.

Lay and Kittinger were booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center.

Lay is charged with first-degree criminal trespass.

Kittinger is charged with first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, first-degree criminal trespass, criminal impersonation and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. Kittinger also had three active arrest warrants for narcotics-related offenses.
