Showers and storms later today – 7/20/18

TODAY: Your Friday will start out on a dry note, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Later this afternoon showers and storms will begin to develop. These will begin over the mountains around 1PM and will spread east through the afternoon. A couple of storms have the potential to become strong, especially if you live out over the eastern plains. We’ll also have to watch out for flash flooding potential over area burn scars. Highs will be in the 90s and low 100s over the lower terrain, with 70s and 80s in the mountains.

TONIGHT: A lingering shower or storm is possible out east tonight. But most storms wrap up and we will be left with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures tonight cool to the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Shower and storm chances increase over the weekend. Temperatures will cooler across the board due to that rain activity. Monday looks to be the coolest and rainiest day of the week. Though rain and storm chances will be less between Tuesday and Thursday, you should still bring your umbrella if you are out and about.
