Police: Colorado Springs man distributed child porn, tried to extort victims

A 20-year-old sex offender from Colorado Springs was arrested again Thursday after an investigation found he was distributing child porn and trying to take advantage of victims.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, Keith Croddy was under investigation by police and special agents with Homeland Security.

Croddy allegedly possessed and distributed child pornography, and also attempted to “extort the subjects of the images,” CSPD said. Details of those extortion attempts weren’t given.

Croddy was arrested for sexual exploitation of a child, extortion, and failure to register as a sex offender.
