Aurora man finds wallet with $4,000 inside, helps return it to owner

Police say they were able to return a wallet carrying more than $4,000 its owner thanks to the honesty of a stranger.

KMGH-TV reported Wednesday that Zach Shields found the wallet in his apartment complex’s parking lot. He turned it in to Aurora police who found the owner and returned the wallet to her.

Shields says he doesn’t expect anything in return. He simply wanted to do the right thing.

As a new teacher, he hopes to instill that lesson onto his students.
