Storms this Evening 7-16-18

TONIGHT: Showers and storms continue to push northeastward through the evening hours. A few showers may linger past midnight but most areas will quiet down. We’ll be left with partly to mostly cloudy skies overnight with temps dropping to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Another active day is expected with showers and storms developing once again through the afternoon and evening. Most areas will just be receiving much needed rain, but the burn scars will need to be monitored once again for the potential for flash flooding. Temps will be warmer tomorrow with highs in the 80s and 90s.

EXTENDED: The forecast begins to dry out by Wednesday and Thursday with dry air returning and temperatures heating up. We will be well into the 80s and 90s Wednesday and Thursday with many areas in the Eastern Plains reaching the triple digits. Monsoon moisture returns starting Friday and the weekend. This increases storm chances and the potential for flash flooding over burn scars.
