1 teen killed, another critically injured in rollover in Pueblo West

One teen was killed and another was critically injured in a rollover crash that happened early Sunday morning Pueblo West.

Alcohol and speed are being considered factors in the crash, the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said.

Witnesses told deputies they were on Wildhorse Road following behind their friends, who were in a Toyota Forerunner. The witnesses said the SUV suddenly sped up. Moments later, they saw the Forerunner rolled in a field near the intersection of Wildhorse Road and Dunn road.

One of the passengers died, the sheriff’s office said. The driver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. A third passenger left the scene.
