Man shot in Colorado Springs after fight over mountain bike

Police are investigating after a man was shot near downtown Colorado Springs Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the north side of the railroad tracks near Weber Street just after 2 p.m.

There they found a man who was shot in the hip. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police say the incident happened after two homeless people got into a fight over a mountain bike.

The suspect hasn’t been identified but police say he may be riding the bike.
