A few storms today, better chances tomorrow – 7/14/18

TONIGHT: A few storms will be present around the area this evening, but most places will be staying dry. Skies dry out following sunset and we are left with partly cloudy skies. Lows cool to the 60s in the low terrain, 50s in the mountains.

EXTENDED: Better chances for storms are in the forecast for tomorrow. We will likely see storms over the mountains and foothills as early as 11am. These continue to spread east and south through the afternoon and evening. Areas of heavy rain are likely, which could cause flash flooding problems over area burn scars. This threat carries into Monday, as more slow moving showers and storms are in the forecast. Lesser rain and storm chances will be seen on Tuesday, before we become hot and dry Wednesday into the weekend. Fire danger will likely become elevated once again once things dry out.
