More showers and storms today – 7/13/18

TODAY: Today will be very similar to yesterday. We will start the day off with quiet skies and will increase the rain and storm chances over the mountains by late morning. These showers and storms will spill into the lower terrain through the early to mid afternoon. This is all thanks to some monsoon moisture! Pockets of moderate (to possibly heavy) rain are likely. We will have to watch area burn scars closely for flash flooding concerns.

TONIGHT: An isolated shower or storm is possible early on, then we will be dry and mostly cloudy. Lows cool to the 60s in the lower elevations with 50s in the mountains.

EXTENDED: Monsoonal moisture is still going to be present through much of this week, but rain chances aren’t looking as significant as in days past. This means highs will be slightly warmer than originally forecasted. You’ll want to keep your umbrella close until next Wednesday, when things dry out around the area.
