Severe thunderstorms roll across Colorado Springs

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for El Paso County and areas southeast of Security-Widefield Thursday afternoon.

Penny-sized hail is possible, and winds could reach up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. 60 mph winds are capable of taking down tree branches. Please be aware and move indoors and away from windows as this storm is passing through.
