Rain Returns Tomorrow 7-12-18

TONIGHT: Most shower and thunderstorm activity has come to an end leaving behind partly to mostly cloudy skies. Most areas will remain in the 60s by early tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW: Similar weather conditions are expected with quiet and mostly sunny skies to start. Thunderstorms will begin developing over the mountains during the late morning and early afternoon then push east through the evening. Plenty of monsoonal moisture will still be around allowing for widely scattered storms bringing the threat for heavy downpours, gusty winds and frequent lightning. The burn scars will need to be monitored for the potential for flash flooding. Highs will stay around average for this time of year reaching the 80s and 90s.

EXTENDED: Monsoonal flow will keep plenty of tropical moisture across Southern Colorado into early next week. This will keep daily storm chances in the forecast, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Temps won’t vary much, staying in the 80s and 90s with 70s for the local mountains. Flash flooding will continue to be a concern through the weekend and into early next week, especially for recent burn scars.
