Moisture & Storm Chances Return 7-11-18

TONIGHT: Most storm activity will come to an end leaving behind partly cloudy skies. Some areas could still experience a few showers during the overnight. Low temperatures drop to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Skies are expected to be mostly sunny with warm temperatures yet again. Most areas will reach highs in the 80s and 90s. Showers and storms are expected especially beginning in the afternoon and lasting through the evening. Rain is expected to be widely scattered with the main hazards being lightning and gusty winds. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the Spring Fire Burn Scar as it will take very little rain to cause flash flooding.

EXTENDED: Monsoonal moisture lingers through this week and into early next week. This will keep daily chances for showers and storms in the forecast. Rain is mainly expected each afternoon and evening with lightning, gusty winds and even some flooding possible. The recent burn scars will be the most susceptible to flash flooding. Temperatures remain warm, in the 80s and 90s with 70s for our local mountains.
